DENVER, Colorado – Orvis Park Meadow and Orvis Cherry Creek are pleased to announce their “Giveback Days” events taking place throughout the month of September. The outdoor retailer is partnering with the Cutthroat Chapter of the Colorado Trout Unlimited organization, a nonprofit dedicated to education, as well as protecting and restoring the robust populations of native and wild cold-water fish.
“Orvis is excited to see the donation being used to support five scholarships to the Colorado Trout Unlimited Youth Camp,” stated Brian Young, Orvis Park Meadow fishing manager. “Not only does the camp provide kids the opportunity to get out into the fresh air but it also teaches them a new lifelong skill – fly fishing.”
Andy Dmohowski, fishing manager at the Orvis Cherry Creek store adds, “this camp also has a strong conservation component, which is a significant piece of outdoor education necessary to ensure the sustainability of the sport.”

In addition to a $2,000 cash donation from Orvis, the company is challenging their customers to give back, as well. During the month of September, customers donating $10 or more will receive a $10 Orvis savings card (limit one per customer).
There will be after-hours events at Orvis Park Meadow, 8433 Park Meadows Center Drive in Lone Tree, and at Orvis Cherry Creek, 2770 E Second Ave in Denver, Orvis stores on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. Final donations will be awarded to the Cutthroat Chapter, and partner groups will be raffling Orvis products to help raise additional funds. The public is invited to attend and there will be free refreshments and drawings for Orvis savings cards.
