San Juan River New Mexico Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow below Navajo Lake as of Monday morning was 499cfs. Trout fishing through the Quality Waters was fair-to-good using wooly buggers, San Juan worms, leeches, egg patterns, parachute adams, dead chickens and small hair jigs. Fishing through the bait waters was good using salmon eggs, power bait, worms, jigs and jerk baits.

Fishing continued to be slow for all species. The water was quite murky.

Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using power bait just off the bottom.
Ute Lake New Mexico Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Fishing was fair using suspending jerk baits at the upper end of the Ute Creek arm and on the upper end of the Canadian arm for white bass. Fishing was fair using minnows and night crawlers for catfish. A few walleye were taken on jig and white grub combinations fished at 12-to-14 feet. A few smallmouth bass were taken on minnows. We had no reports on other species.

Water flow below the hatchery was 58cfs. Trout fishing was fair using salmon eggs and copper john barrs.
